A Magician's Guide to Norcan' Dar

The lands of this hellscape never end to amaze me in their unending dangers and hidden secrets. We have been traveling south from the mountains and into an endless desert aptly named, “Red Waste” as some locals call it for about a month. the hostile environment has proven even more dangerous than the mountains, but it has allowed myself and my party to escape powerful enemies….. for now. we had little knowledge of our destination but located a strange landmark on the horizon, several days of travel later led us to a massive pyramid-like structure leaning in the sands. around it were hundreds of feet long pillars and all were made of a strange rock-like substance but easily recognizable as arc fire tech.

the closer one moved to the structure, the more unstable items with magical properties became, and an eldakar in our party was practically vibrating from the ambient magical radiation. this structure had become a Loci of extremely powerful magic energy and from the builders’ look this may be the closest thing they have to a religious structure that I have seen. we approached carefully but soon had to leave all magic items behind for fear of a volatile reaction. as we approached a large perfectly circular opening could be seen in the side of the pyramid and with some carefully ingenuity we were able to enter.

this was a mistake as the large amount of magical energy in the structure led to battle with demonic creatures mutated by the acrfire presence and friendly fire amongst ourselves due to the radiation inhibiting our mental capabilities. nonetheless we retreated as quickly as possible with some close calls but all alive either way.

if this lies just at the rims of Norcan’ Dars magical secrets, I tremble with fear and excitement for what yet waits for us.
